I started this website a few years ago. I wanted an outlet to publish my photographs and promote the Des Moines Botanical Gardens. I sold many original photographs of the beautiful flowers that reside at the gardens. This last year things came to a halt, with the viris, the gardens closed their doors and I no longer had new photos. My full time job is as a pharmacy technician at a retail pharmacy. It became very clear that we needed PPE in order to protect ourselves and our customers. I learned to sew years ago from my mother and grandmother, so I put these skills to work to provide our group of pharmacies with masks for all of our employees. I began to get so many requests for masks that I was making them everynight after work. By making good quality fabric masks I could save the medical grade PPE for those medical workers that needed it.
