365 days of Flowers

Today is a very special day, so I went with the Hydrangea.  I love the beautiful full blooms, and the bright vibrant colors.  I really fell in love with the Hydrangea in Michigan, where the double Hydrangea grow everywhere.  They fill your yard with strikingly beautiful blooms and dark green foliage.  The hydrangea was the flower that my partner and I chose for our wedding, so they will always have a special place in my heart.

The Hydrangea colors can be achieved by the addition of Aluminum in the soil.  The colors of red, blue, pink, light purple and dark purple can be achieved with manipulation of the aluminum in the soil that they are planted.

Hydrangea symbolizes heartfelt emotions. It can be used to express gratitude for being understood.

PS:  I would like to wish my wonderful partner of 18 years a Happy Anniversary.  We first traveled half way across the country to the small state of Vermont to receive our Civil Union 18 years ago today.   We wanted a way to connect our lives together and commit ourselves to our relationship.  I Love you very much, and look forward to many more happy years together, the first 18 years went by so fast, lets slow it down a bit and make the next 18 last.  Love Always.  Lori

If you enjoyed my photos, please leave me a message. I would love to hear from you. THANKS
