Capturing the beauty of flowers over 365 days

Day 17

I am sorry I missed yesterdays post, but my internet was down.  So here is my flower for the 17th day of my 365 days of flowers.

The Columbine.  The columbine prefers the shade, but can tolerate some sun.  Can be found in upper elevations, so it prospers in mountain and high terrain areas of northern, and the central parts of America.  Bees and Hummingbirds help to pollinate these flowers.  Under the flower petals are things called the spurs, which is where the long-beaked hummingbirds feed.  The Blue Columbine is the State Flower of Colorado.
