Capturing the beauty of flowers over 365 days

Day 21

Todays flower comes from the flower garden of my mother.  She is in Missouri, and she grows really beautiful Clematis.  There are 100’s of species of the Clematis.  The Clematis is part of the Buttercup family, it is vigorous, woody, climbing vine.  The vine itself is quite delicate for the first 3 years, then it becomes stronger.  The Clematis grows best in cool, moist, well-drained soil.  In the Victorian era the Clematis came to stand for Mental beauty and Art.
